Small businesses support diversity in our community and ensure that Skagit retains a special sense of place. But sometimes accessing capital is difficult. Alternative lending is a broad term used to describe a range of loan options available to business owners outside of a traditional bank loan. These alternative options are most commonly used when an individual or business owner cannot obtain a traditional bank loan for any number of reasons. The goal of this event is to connect small business owners and traditional banks to these alternative lending resources. Bridging the lending gap will improve access to capital for small businesses and can help knit together an ecosystem of support.
This workshop is designed to provide businesses with information about funding sources, loan programs, and processes available for those who want to start or grow their business.
Who should attend?
The Alternative Lenders Roundtable is intended to articulate and bridge the gap between small businesses and traditional lenders. Individual businesses and lenders are encouraged to attend.
Who will present?
Presenters include representatives from a local lending group, Skagit Revolving Loan Fund, Craft3, Business Impact NW, NWBDA, Evergreen Capital, USDA, SBA District Office Representative, and other small business loan providers.
