Introducing Census Business Builder: Small Business Edition (CBB: SBE)

October 25 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

“The U.S. Census Bureau produces an amazing wealth of data, but accessing these data can often be challenging if you don’t know where to look and which programs to select.  This webinar will provide an overview and live demo of Census Business Builder: Small Business Edition (CBB: SBE), a tool that presents key data from the Census Bureau and elsewhere in a simple, map-based interface.  Designed specifically for entrepreneurs (and the SBDC counselors who assist them!), CBB:SBE provides easy access to key demographic and business data for a user-selected type of business and market.”

Presenter – Andrew W. Hait

Mr. Hait is an Economist and serves as the Data Product and Data User Liaison in the International Trade Management Division at the U.S. Census Bureau.  With over 29 years of service at the Bureau, Andy advises on Economic data products and conducts data user training for the Economic Census and the Census Bureau’s other monthly, quarterly, and annual economic survey programs. He also coordinates the development of innovative new data tools, including the new Census Business Builder suite that presents selected demographic and economic data in a user-friendly, map-based interface.  Andy is also the lead geographic specialist in the Economic Programs directorate at the Census Bureau. Mr. Hait holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Syracuse University and has a Masters Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University.
