Lew Blakeney

Lew Blakeney has been an SBDC certified business advisor since 2000, serving all of Okanogan County. His office is co-located with the Economic Alliance of Okanogan County. He earned a MBA degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BS degree in engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He has traveled to the central Asian countries of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan to instruct on business courses. Before joining the SBDC, Lew owned and operated a precision plastics injection molding manufacturing business in the Seattle area for 13 years. Before that, he was the treasurer/secretary with a corporation having over $100 million in revenues and nation-wide subsidiary operations. Lew has experience with business acquisitions, SEC filings, bank loans, retirement plans and employee benefits insurance programs. He started his business career as a computer marketing representative for the IBM Corp.

Lew was in the U.S. Army, where he attained the rank of captain in the Ordnance Corps with two years active duty and two years active reserve duty.
