Jenefeness Tucker has been coaching, educating and training entrepreneurs for more than 16 years. She joins the Washington SBDC by way of Columbus, Ohio, and also served clients at the Connecticut SBDC.

In 2017 she was named Microentrepreneur of the Year by Increase Community Development Corporation, a faith-based lending organization in Columbus, Ohio, and was nominated for Advisor of the Year for her work at Financial Comfort Consulting, a financial services firm where she had been working since 2009. In 2016 she was named to the 100 Growth List of Middle Market CEOs by Axial, a private online platform for middle market investors.

Jenefeness is the author of several books, including “Finesse My Business: From Launching to Levitating,” “21 Day FI$CAL Bootcamp Workbook” and “Finesse My Time Management System.”

She earned a bachelor of science degree in communications and global organizational management from Wilberforce University (HBCU), and an MBA with a concentration in finance from Ohio Dominican University. She has earned additional certifications in GrowthWheel, IBISWorld, Ice House Entrepreneurship and Profit Mastery.

Over the course of her career, Jenefeness has worked in the private sector, the public sector, for start-ups, for large corporations and small businesses, always seeking opportunities to educate and empower herself and those around her.

With each SBDC client she works with, Jenefeness is committed to:
