Are you an experienced meat processor? Do you have (or want to have) a meat related business? Then this live discussion is for you!
Join us for this LIVE DISCUSSION (on zoom) about the process of “Applying for a Grant of Inspection” (the process of becoming a USDA butcher, so that you can not only butcher for others, but you can also sell meat to the public), or conducting slaughtering of livestock and processing for customers who will take the meat home to their own families (the “Custom Exempt” process). Facilitating will be SBDC Advisors Liz Jamieson and John Morosco, as well as Kate Hoy of the WA Procurement and Technical Assistance Center.
Representatives from the USDA, and from the WSDA, will be in attendance to answer your technical questions about these application and inspection processes.
This training is offered as part of the partnership between the Washington Small Business Development Centers and the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce.
A Zoom link for the webinar will be sent prior to the event to those who register.
WSU Zoom security protocols require each participant have a Zoom account and be signed into their account from their computer or mobile device. https://zoom.us/
