Juan Garcia

Prior to joining the Washington SBDC at Center for Inclusive Entrepreneurship, Juan worked in the restaurant industry alongside many talented chefs. Most recently, he was head chef at Roundtop Public House, where he mentored culinary students. Previously, Juan and his spouse opened a mobile food business in Seattle, The Tamale Guy, where they implemented their values of being eco-friendly and reducing their carbon footprint by utilizing all compostable packaging for their product.

Juan graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Business Management. Juan also completed a study abroad program at Apicius International School of Hospitality in Italy, where he expanded his global understanding of the hospitality industry. When Juan isn’t working, he enjoys cooking for his family and friends. He also enjoys snowboarding on Steven’s Pass but since he moved to Pullman, he now has his eyes set on Schweitzer Mountain. Most importantly, he loves being at home spending time with his wife, his son and his dog.
